James 4:8 – says, “Draw near to God, & He will draw near to us.”
If I am going to draw near to God then this means that I have a part to play. I have to choose to set my heart on God and I have to make a decision that I am going to draw near Him. I have to set aside & prepare for the time and the place that I will seek Him.
My goal is to have an on-going relationship with Him. When I come to Him, I must come in faith. I must believe that He is real, that His Word is true, and that as I come to Him, truly seeking Him He will answer me, and He will draw near to me. Then, He can speak into my heart, the things that He wants to speak to me.
Jeremiah 33:3 – says, “Call to me and; I will answer you and; tell you great and; unsearchable things that you do not know.”
It’s in His presence, when my spirit unites with His Spirit, that worship takes place. It’s an experience. It’s an encounter with God. As I come to this place of surrender before Him, then He can speak into my heart and my heart can be changed.
