Psalm 18:1-3
For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said:
1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
David’s response to God for delivering him and saving him from his enemies was worship. David was a man who was able to express his love and appreciation to God. That’s what worship is all about. It is an attitude of our hearts. It’s us loving God and being able to express that love. It’s not enough to just think about it. We need to express it. We need to vocalize our love to God. We need to say it. We need to sing it, and shout it, and we need to share it with others.
So, I just encourage you today to think about the things God has delivered and saved you from, and tell Him how grateful you are. Express your gratitude through worship. Now is the perfect time for us as a Body of believers to stand together as one to worship our God and give Him the glory and honor that He deserves.
